Implementers

Who Implements the Program?

The Farmer-to-Farmer worldwide programs are implemented by seven core implementers working in different areas of the world. Except for VEGA's Special Program Support Project (SPSP), Farmer-to-Farmer programs are implemented under Leader With Associate (LWA) Awards. These Awards fund core country Farmer-to-Farmer programs in a defined geographic region, but also allow for global access for Associates Awards using volunteer technical assistance in agricultural development. The core Farmer-to-Farmer programs are implemented under LWA Cooperative Agreements. Each Agreement funds core country Farmer-to-Farmer programs in a defined geographic region, but also allows for global access for Associate Awards using voluntary technical assistance in agricultural development.

Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance (VEGA) manages the Farmer-to-Farmer Special Program Support Project (SPSP), a component of the worldwide Farmer-to-Farmer programming which promotes value chain capacity development, establishes goodwill, helps raise the profile of international development through knowledge sharing, and supports continuous learning and capacity development of new Farmer-to-Farmer implementers. VEGA Farmer-to-Farmer special projects will be implemented by voluntary technical assistance organizations as sub-grantees.
